Sahel Restaurant & Lounge

How it works

Guides for every Sahel user

Whether you're booking a private celebration, promoting a night at Sahel, or running the calendar, here is exactly what to do — step by step.

1. Check availability

  • Open Reserve a date and scroll to the availability preview.
  • Switch between 1, 3, 6 or 12 months to see how far ahead Sahel has published dates.
  • Green means open, amber means a request is already pending, red means the date is taken.

2. Tell us about your event

  • Choose your event type (birthday, wedding reception, corporate dinner, and more).
  • Enter your guest count and the time frame you need the space for.
  • Pick a preferred date and, if you can, an alternate date.
  • If a date you pick is already reserved or blocked, the form says so straight away and suggests the nearest open dates.

3. Add the services you need

  • Select add-ons: decorator, DJ, saxophonist, live band, photographer.
  • Choose Sahel catering and/or a cash bar if you want them.
  • The form shows a live minimum-deposit estimate as you change guest count and services.

Catering starts at a $500 minimum deposit for up to 40 guests and the cash bar at $1,500, both scaling with larger parties. Final amounts are confirmed by the Sahel team.

4. Submit and follow up

  • Submit as a guest, or create an account to keep track of your enquiry.
  • The events team reviews your request and contacts you by phone or email.
  • If you created an account, decisions and messages also appear under Notifications.
  • Your date is only held once Sahel confirms it in writing and the deposit is received.

Sahel staff can also grant a date to you directly — you'll be contacted with the confirmed day and any conditions.
